I have my egg retrieval 3 days ago and 33 eggs were retrieved. I wasn’t aware of OHSS at all. My doctor was in NY and I’m in MD so that’s like 4 hrs away. No one told me I shouldn’t take long trips of 2hrs or more after the egg retrieval because that’s could cause a blood clotting. Second today is my day 4 since I have egg retrieval done and I’m still suffering from abdominal and chest pain. It hurts when I’m peeing, I passed out one time and went to emergency room… they did evaluation and was normal, but I still have the pain in my abdominal area. Today again I felt suddenly dizzy and couldn’t breathe normally.i called 911 and while suffering I felt nausea and I throw up everything…. I’m having an appointment tomorrow with my doctor because he wants to check on me! My recommendations is to not go and do your IVF somewhere far from where you live, and be aware of all these symptoms because you must take this procedure seriously. Pray for me🤲🏻

Had awful experience this past Friday with my HSG. Was in discomfort the whole time. The doctor had difficulty inserting his tools, only after many tries he was able to insert it by using his thinnest istrument. Picked up that my fallopian tubes were blocked. Ended up doing and ultrasound that's when he picked up a fibroid through the help of another doctor.

I had my egg retrieval today and I ended up having 27 eggs. The process took 30 minutes. I’m still trying to get back to normal. Just feel like I have a period and I’m sore but overall very excited and it was smooth process.🎉

Wow this is the best video for endometriosis i have seen. I most likely have endometriosis, but its been hard to get any specialist to believe me. Only get about a week and a half before I start again and the vomiting has been terrible. Very short cycles. Iam booked in for a C and C procedure, he's going to use a camera and also take tissue for testing all under general anesthesia next month. I would like to know if this can show up endometriosis still? Hopefully i am getting somewhere.

Im only 19, an my doctor doesn't know why i have extreme periods. I have to use the nighttime pads as normal ones if not im doubling up, have to use the largest tampons there are but still fill them in 30 min. Did yhe ultrasounds for endometriosis but didn't find anything. She put me on birth control for my cramps the way id describe it is that its like a white hot jack hammer being turned on and jabbed in my overies. Ive had to miss work because i was in so much pain that i ended up getting fired because it wasn't a "good enough excuse". My periods can last two weeks or just one day. My boyfriend who i live with thinks that "im a big baby" because he thinks its not as bad. This really gave me some good advice for my next visit. Super helpful.

I can understand both views on IVF. I feel for women who can't get pregnant. I feel for men who struggle with infertility. However, IVF is not always done ethically. Correct me if I'm wrong, but embryos can be destroyed for no reason or because there's an abnormality. What if it's a survivable abnormality like Down's Syndrome? Destroying that embryo is a kind of practising eugenics. Or embryos are in storage for years and may never be used. Those lives are in forever storage. I know we all have different views of when live begins. However, if life begins at conception, then certain practices are monsterous. Donated eggs and sperm - those children might never meet their biological parents. A child becomes somewhat of a commodity. It doesn't sit right when adoption is available. Lastly, surrogacy is like purchasing a womb. I'm sure there's a way to do IVF ethically, that addresses all of the above issues. TLDR: I think there are valid concerns. Even from those of us who have been considering IVF.

I would say: If you are older than 35 definitely go for the embryos! And forget about the eggs 💡
